We are a friendly and sociable group who enjoy our walks each time that we meet. Our aim is not to be competitive, but to ensure that everyone enjoys the experience, so the pace is set to accommodate the abilities of everyone taking part. We aim to do two walks each month, weather permitting.

The majority of our walks to date have taken place within the boundaries of the old county of Gwent. However, we have occasionally gone further afield to places such as the Wye Valley, the Vale of Glamorgan, Merthyr Tydfil, the Rhondda Valley, and the outskirts of Cardiff.

There is no obligation on anyone to turn out for any walk, people can pick and choose what they like.

We gather at Woodland Road for a sharp departure at 10AM. Our walks generally take between 2 to 3 hours and we usually end up having lunch in a convenient pub.
