Each meeting is based on a particular aspect of poetry, such as verse form, genre, poet, etc. Members are encouraged to present and read an example for that week (e.g. Villanelle, Ballad, Christmas poetry, etc). This may be the member's own verse. Some background to the particular example is also presented. Following each reading the group will then discuss the poem; how it made them feel, what the poet was attempting to express, etc.

We meet on the fourth Thursday of the month at 2-3.30pm at Llanyrafon Methodist Church. At our July meeting we looked at the work of two poets, DH Lawrence, and the Welsh poet Idris Davies. WE WILL NOT BE MEETING IN AUGUST. Our next meeting will take place on Thursday 24 September.
