Each meeting is based on a particular aspect of poetry, such as verse form, genre, poet, etc. Members are encouraged to present and read an example for that week (e.g. Villanelle, Ballad, Christmas poetry, etc). This may be the member's own verse. Some background to the particular example is also presented. Following each reading the group will then discuss the poem; how it made them feel, what the poet was attempting to express, etc.

At our last session, we looked at some of the work of two poets: Walter de la Mare and Wilfred Owen. We meet on the fourth Thursday of the month at 2-3.30pm at Llanyrafon Methodist Church. Our next meeting is on Thursday 25 June.
