The Torfaen u3a Theatre & Events Group was set up in 2023 . We are a jolly crowd who chat about, and arrange to visit, events in which we are interested , both locally and wider afield. We have a WhatsApp group where members exchange details of events in which others may be interested. We enjoy meeting so much that members sometimes stay on for lunch after our meeting.

There are a variety of ways in which we organise our events. Some are arranged and booked on the day, while others are advertised amongst the wider group and arranged by the conveners.

To date, we have been to see tribute acts, musicals, plays, films, art exhibitions, been on a coach trip and toured backstage at the New Theatre and the BBC. Where possible we also enjoy a coffee or a meal together either before or after the event.

We love meeting new members and finding out their interests so come along and meet us. If there’s something you would like to see or do, you will probably find others who share your passion and will be happy to go with you.
