Each meeting is based on a particular aspect of poetry, such as verse form, genre, poet, etc. Members are encouraged to present and read an example for that week (e.g. Villanelle, Ballad, Christmas poetry, etc). This may be the member's own verse. Some background to the particular example is also presented. Following each reading the group will then discuss the poem; how it made them feel, what the poet was attempting to express, etc.
.
If you have an interest in poetry, why not come along and join us. You would be most welcome.

We meet on the fourth Thursday of the month at 2-3.30pm at Llanyrafon Methodist Church. Our next meeting will take place on Thursday 22 October. Our November meeting, a 'Poems & Pints' event, will take place on 26 November from 2.00pm in the Conservatory at the Crows Nest public house. There will be NO MEETING in December. Our first meeting of 2027 will take place on Thursday 28 January, from 2.00-3.30pm, at Llanyrafon Methodist Church.
